2014 CHARACTER RULES AND CREATION REFERENCES This work includes material taken from the System Reference Document 5.1 (“SRD 5.1”) by Wizards of the Coast LLC and available at https://dnd.wizards.com/resources/systems-reference-document. The SRD 5.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode. Official source PDF: https://media.dndbeyond.com/compendium-images/srd/5.1/SRD_CC_v5.1.pdf The reference entries use 2014 rules, not the 2024 revision. Race traits, class features, and progression information have been reorganized into editable records. Labels and formatting have been adapted; choice-based features remain descriptive choices, not automatic grants. The four included subraces contain their base race traits plus their own traits. Base race entries explain the subrace selection separately. Core class entries describe subclass feature milestones; they do not automatically grant any particular subclass. The 12 SRD subclasses are linked to their parent classes and include level-specific features. Life Domain and Oath of Devotion spell grants are linked at the appropriate class levels; Circle of the Land terrain choices and the Fiend expanded spell options remain conditional choices. The Life Domain Guardian of Faith entry omitted by the structured transcription has been restored from the official SRD, page 17. Editing these definitions does not automatically grant features to a character. The creation foundation adds 319 spells, 133 proficiency/language references, the Acolyte background, the Grappler feat, and 85 class feature options (including class-specific Fighting Style records). Background equipment and special feature behavior must be reviewed before use by a guided creator. Magic Mouth and Teleportation Circle material wording has been corrected against the official SRD; complex multi-component prices remain in the full component text rather than a misleading single price. Full spell text governs secondary damage, conditional effects, and special casting rules. A simple damage-dice field represents only the base listed damage. GOLDCREST CONTENT REVISION — SEPTEMBER 13, 2026 The current runtime catalog preserves the SRD foundation and replaces the earlier non-SRD sourcebook index and feature packages with original Goldcrest options. Inventor and Hexbreaker are original campaign classes, not official classes or renamed reproductions. Original backgrounds, feats, lineages and subclass traditions use the credited 5E rules framework. These new designs require playtesting. Dissonant Whispers, Ray of Sickness, Phantasmal Force and Dragon’s Breath use explicitly labeled SRD 5.2.1 versions. The remaining SRD 5.1 records keep their existing edition and mechanics. Names and identifiers retained for data migration are compatibility references, not claims of affiliation. Existing DM-authored entries, private character imports, campaign writing and uploaded artwork can have separate rights. No site-wide legal clearance or exclusive ownership of all generated text is claimed. See /licenses for attribution and adaptation notices. Goldcrest design revision 2 restores recognizable lineage display names and retains earlier Goldcrest names as searchable aliases. These names identify custom variants, not licensed copies of the corresponding sourcebook packages. Verified SRD records are unchanged. Feat revision: Alert, Savage Attacker and Skilled use summarized SRD 5.2.1 (2024), Feats, page 87, with table-resolution and interface notes. Grappler retains its existing SRD 5.1 version. The other 101 revised feats are individually authored Goldcrest variants, with original benefits and explicit campaign labels. Arcane Initiate is an original campaign option, not SRD Magic Initiate. Existing selected feats retain their recorded version until deliberately changed.
